Do I need to make an appointment?

Ideally, YES. By making an appointment in advance you will benefit from a guaranteed fitting room and a personal one-to-one shopping experience. Appointments may be made online (there is an appointment button at the top of each website page) and are 1-hour in duration. If you are unable to access the Internet, please call us on 01628 528877 to discuss your appointment requirements. We are currently limiting the number of customers being served simultaneously in our fitting area to two. However, other customers may be browsing our extensive range of merchandise whilst you are being served and, at busy times, customer appointments may inevitably overlap in the fitting area. If you arrive without an appointment and we are already serving two customers, you may be asked to wait or come back at a later time.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?

We strongly recommend that you attend your appointment in good fitting underwear (suitable for the style of outfit you are seeking) and to bring suitable shoes with the right heel height, as both will enhance the overall appearance of your outfit. If you plan on wearing tights, we recommend you wear natural-coloured ones.

Is there parking nearby?

There is free 1-hour ONLY parking across the road from us. Alternatively, there is a Pay & Display car park within a 5-minute walk from the shop, with prices from just 50p for ½ hour.

What are your opening days/hours?

These vary depending on the time of year. Our current opening days/hours can always be found in the NEWS section of our website. Please note that we are NOT open every day of the week.

Do you have an online shop?

No, we only sell direct from our shop in Bourne End (SL8 5SB). However, if you are unable to visit us, we are happy to post a garment to you using Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery, which has to be signed for and includes insurance. We can also post outside the UK if required. Please contact us for current postal costs and note that any garment sent by post is sold on a NON-RETURNABLE basis.

What sizes do you stock?

In general, we stock UK Sizes 8 to 24, plus a few styles in UK Sizes 6, 26 and 28. However, it does vary from supplier to supplier and across different styles. Please note that none of the specialist suppliers of formal or occasion wear offer a “petite” collection.

How much are your dresses and suits?

We have various price points but, in general, the starting price for a dress is approx. £159 and for a suit is approx. £199. We always have a selection of dresses, suits and headwear on SALE.

Do I buy from stock or do you order them in?

All of our dresses, suits and headwear are held in stock, so you take them away with you on the day of purchase. The majority of our suppliers do NOT hold spare/repeat stock in their warehouses so, as a general rule, we are unable to order specific styles/sizes on demand.

Do you have outfits and hats for hire?

No, all of our merchandise is for purchase only.

Can you put an outfit aside for me?

Only if a non-refundable deposit is paid as we often only have one of a size in a given style/colour. If you need the Bride’s or Groom’s approval, we do recommend that they attend your appointment with you.

Do you offer an alteration service?

Usually, yes, as this service is quite popular as we are all different! However, our current tailoress is due to retire in the near future so we are currently in the process of sourcing a replacement. The tailoress works completely independently of No. 25. You would make an appointment to see her at our shop, where she will skilfully fit the garment to your requirements. Please note that ALL alterations are chargeable.

What is your returns policy?

We do NOT accept returns nor give refunds unless the goods supplied do not comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We do, however, offer an exchange or credit note (excluding headwear and jewellery) within 7 days of purchase providing the goods are returned in the same condition as when sold, have NOT been worn (i.e. all labels/tags intact) and when accompanied by a valid receipt. Please note that all SALE ITEMS are sold as seen and are NON-RETURNABLE, and that credit notes cannot be used against sale items.
